Subsequent to the confirmation of appointment by the city council and prior to the entry into the duties of the office of clerk-treasurer, the individual appointed shall furnish an official bond, in an amount established by ordinance, conditioned on the honest and faithful performance of the clerk-treasurer’s official duties. The premium on such bond shall be paid by the city. (Ord. 1324, §3, 1980).
