The City may deny or discontinue water service to any consumer failing to cooperate in the installation, maintenance, testing, or inspection of backflow prevention preventers required by the City as provided in WAC 246-290-490. Prior to discontinuing an existing water service, the City’s normal notification procedure shall be followed and the Local Administrative Authority and County Health Official shall be notified, excepting that in an Emergency prior notice shall not be required.

The City Superintendent is hereby authorized to develop written policies and operating procedures pertaining to the implementation of this ordinance. The City Superintendent and such staff members as he/she may designate are delegated the authority to implement this ordinance. (Ord. 1621, 2002).
