Multi-unit facilities shall pay hookup and connection fees as outlined in Section 13.04.240.

Adding to existing hookups, such as increasing the number of trailers in a court or size of an apartment house shall be accomplished only after approval of City Superintendent and payment to the Clerk/Treasurer the required amount per dwelling or unit increased.

Any request for a 2" or larger hookup will have to be presented at a City Council meeting for review and approval.

If the owner of a multi-unit facility wishes to decommission water service to one or more individual units without disconnecting the service to the entire property, the owner shall submit a written application for that purpose to the Clerk/Treasurer, together with payment of the application fee for decommissioning of individual unit(s) set forth at 13.04.230 of this code, or as amended, for each unit decommissioned. For Hotel/Motel/RV Parks, one application fee is required regardless of the number of decommissioned units applied for. Water service shall thereafter be terminated to the unit(s) within ten (10) business days of receipt by the City of the written request and application fee, PROVIDED, (1) the City Superintendent verifies that disconnection of water service to the individual unit(s) is physically/mechanically possible; and (2) the owner/applicant provides whatever device, method, or valve lockout equipment deemed necessary by the City Superintendent to assure the disconnection of the water service and to prevent unauthorized reconnection. The owner/applicant shall provide access to the City Superintendent at any time during normal business hours to allow for reinspection of the premises. Failure to provide access shall result in imposition of the reactivation fee and the water administrative fee until such access is provided and the City Superintendent verifies the premises remain disconnected from water service.

Water and other utility services shall be restored upon payment of the water reactivation fee set forth in 13.04.230 of this code, or as amended, for each unit reactivated, or in the case of Hotel/Motel/RV Parks, for each block of units. It is a violation of this chapter for any person to reactivate water service to decommissioned units without authorization from the City Superintendent or his/her designee.
